General Information
  • Setting and Time:

RPG Haven revolves around the present time of the 21st century, in the setting of the world once known as Earth. Today, it is now referred to as “Haven”, a planetary residence home to various races previously unknown to mankind. Angels and demons stepped on land, vampires and werewolves explored, and hybrids emerged. Over time, humans were able to develop their knowledge to the extent of defying the laws of nature; thus the introduction of mages, summoners, alchemists, and metahumans.

  • Shinrei, Forge, Kyre, and Deion:

War tore throughout the land, eventually dividing the world into four super countries: Forge, Shinrei, Deion and Kyre. While smaller countries were retained, these 4 were held to be the supreme lands of Haven. Each having their own advantages over the other, and each reigned by individual leaders.

  • The Guilds:

With the conflict between races reinforced with personal disputes, small groups began to form and rise up against their enemies. Eventually, these groups grew and expanded on their own, beholding the existence of “Guilds”. As they improved over time, they’re no longer focused on war alone but began to develop their own motives and agendas as well.

  • “The Legion”

The Legion is considered to be the main antagonist group of the Haven - composing of the five elite pairs and superior individuals as members. Originally one of the average leveled guilds, it was taken over by Angel and Kazuya, the current and apparent leaders of the faction, and with their influence, expanded it to a world-renowned level that now threatens the safety and existence of Haven.

Race Guide
by Vertigo Blackhart

There will be additional specific groups to be added here soon...

Vampires

Vampires are composed of non human individuals cursed of agelessness and thirst of blood. They have better physical Strength and sense of hearing than most races and they become far stronger when fully refreshed with blood, but weakens indefinitely during daylight and when extremely thirsty of blood. The more a vampire kills, the more inhumane and twisted his personality becomes and the stronger he will be overtime. Contrary to popular belief, vampires can walk under the sun, but as long as the sun's direct rays touch a vampire, they are unable to transform or use any of their powers and abilities. Gold is also a weakness of vampires. A mere touch of gold can burn a vampire's skin akin to acid.

Werewolves
Werewolves are basically individuals who were forced to hide their true form in the likeliness of a human. Their true form is that of a giant majestic canine animal, mostly having wolf features. They have better Speed and sense of smell than most races and becomes stronger during the night of a full moon. They can transform into a wolf during daylight, but like their counterparts, they become weaker during these days. Just like in legends, silver is one of the most effective weakness of werewolves. A mere touch of silver can burn a werewolf's skin akin to acid.

Angels and Demons
Angels are non human individuals who were manifested through pure energy. Though they are generally weaker than most races in terms of physical statistics like speed and strength, they have the advantage over flight and airborne speed. Since they are manifestations of energy, their Energy Source are also always superior than most beings. They become stronger during a bright full day when the sun is high, but weakens greatly during darkness or night time.

Demons are widely known as the counterparts of angels. Demons are formed when energy clusters into an object or a form and is twisted into a personification of a new being.. When this energy is embodied into a living being, it is called a Demon. Because the nature of demons is simply an object or a person that has accumulated much of this energy, there is hardly any specificity in physical stature and abilities. However, most facts include demons being generally stronger in dark places or during night, but weakens variably during daylight. They also have better senses (eyesight, hearing, smell, taste, and feel) than most races because of the fact that they are formed from clustered energies. Like vampires, they are unable to transform or use any of their powers and abilities as long as the sun's direct rays touch them. The more people they corrupt, the more their demonic energy strengthens and the stronger they become.

Hybrids
Hybrids are non human individuals who have either no specific race of their own, or have their races not as popular to humans are the general magic groups stated above. Examples of these would be the Nekos or 'cat people', shadow spirits, siren, and any other race that don't belong to the categories stated above. Hybrids mostly have the upper hand in terms of their uniqueness, as their weaknesses widely vary and are usually unknown to other races.

Note: You can NOT breed/mix two or more major races from this site. By major, I meant these primary races that are all here. Half human-half cat (neko), or half human-half snake (siren) are allowed. But mixes such as vampire-alchemist or mage-angel are definitely NOT accepted. If you wish to acquire another ability of a race, you'll need to buy a new ability in the shop, but you can not start out with them immediately. Angel-Demon race is allowed, but you'll have to choose which race of the two will your character will mostly be. For further questions, you can ask >>Hina Fujiharu<< or any of the current staff.

Mages
Mages are extremely intelligent humans who have acquired the ability to control and bend elements to their will through learning different spells and casts that could bring forth various effects in the basic foundations of the surroundings. They generally have superior Intelligence than most races, and due to being humans, they don't particularly have a specific weakness against conditions or certain objects. However, likewise, because of that fact, they retain humans' weaknesses. They don't have automatic regenerative healing,, and are physically flimsy and weak. Their personal affiliation as a mage can also contribute to their strengths and weaknesses. Black mages are generally weak against light while White mages are weak against darkness.

Summoners
Summoners are originally a branch of mages. They are composed of humans who were as intelligent as mages, but have acquired knowledge of a forbidden spell to initiate a summon. As a consequence, they lost their powers as a mage, but have gained control over their personal summons. Summoners can call upon various things, ranging from basic inanimate objects like a stool or a sword, to mighty legendary creatures such a sDragons and certain race species like that of Vampires or Angels. These summons can be loyal to them.

Alchemists
Alchemists are originally another branch of mages who have focused on the established norm of principle of equivalent exchange. They have abandoned their knowledge of elemental bending and focused on various transmutation techniques and skills. And over the years, they have grown to become another race of their own and their knowledge passed down through generations. Like mages, they have retained human's strengths, weaknesses and neutrality. A good alchemist is someone who can create something marvelous from pieces of scraps, thus, an alchemist's strength depends mostly on his or her intelligence

Metahumans
Metahumans, just as the name says, are humans who have acquired extraordinary abilities but didn't belong to the Mages, Summoners or Alchemists class. Common examples would be cyborgs, androids, or humans that have been modified in laboratories. A specific example of a metahuman would be Train Heartnet from Black Cat. He had his skills of his own, but is not part of any race. Like hybrids, they have the element of surprise as their abilities as well as weaknesses are most likely unknown to most individuals.

Ranks Guide
So it finally occurred to you to learn more about the site’s ranking system? The brief guide below might be of help.

Each country holds a ranking system corresponding to the military system of that particular land.

Everyone starts as a Civilian with 2 Abilities, 2 Weapons, and 2 Miscellaneous creations.

From there, you can decide if you want to be in a military system, or stay independent. The "Limitations" for each rank indicates the number of abilities/weapons/miscellaneous your character can have at that rank. You start with 2 free abilities/weapons/miscellaneous, but after that, you would need to buy your additional ones in the shop.

In summary:

Default Rank: Civilian
No Rank: Independent

Rank 4: Nitohei
Rank 3: Heicho
Rank 2: Socho
Rank 1: Taisho
Leader: Shiki/Fraide/Kreix/Divon

Civilian
The default rank for every new character. Civilians are normal citizens of a country and this means they can not be given orders by those who are in the military. This is a developing stage for your character and for you to decide if your character would be suitable to participate in the military system as Nitohei or choose to be Independent.

Limitations: 2 Abilities, 2 Weapons, 2 Miscellaneous

Independent

Civilians who chose not to be in the military system. Independents hold no rank in the military. They are what most people would call ‘freeloaders’ or wanderers. They have no attachment to the military and thus, can not be given orders or the other way around. They don't have to have any "Real" loyalty to the leader of their country and can choose whether to aid with the nation or focus on their own objectives alone. As an Independent, you can never rank up again.

Requirements: 30+ posts

You can attain Independent rank once you meet the 30+ posts requirement. When you’re ready for the rank up, notify an admin for your character to be promoted.

Limitations: 4 Abilities, 3 Weapons, 4 Miscellaneous

Nitohei
Novice Rank. Civilians who chose to be in the military system. Nitoheis are the lowest ranking members of the military, and as such, have no real say in what goes on. As novices they can be put into squads headed by a higher ranking member to partake in certain missions. There’s not much influence and reputation just yet, but with work, can move up in rank and not only gain more power but more respect from those around them.

Requirements: 30+ posts

You can attain Nitohei rank once you meet the 30+ posts requirement. When you’re ready for the rank up, notify an admin for your character to be promoted.

Limitations: 3 Abilities, 3 Weapons, 3 Miscellaneous

Heicho
Skilled Rank. Heicho is the next rank up from Nitohei. In this rank, one can already be considered as skilled or developing expertise. There isn’t much difference with Nitohei as they are still part of squads. But Heichos can take command if there’s no other available higher rank to lead.

Requirements: 70+ posts, 4 missions overall, Heicho Rank-Up Assessment

To rank up to Heicho, you need 70+ posts and completed at least 4 missions. Depending on the activity, Heicho Rank Up Assessments are held in the site every month or 2 months. You will receive 100,000 ryo as a bonus once you achieve this rank.

Limitations: 4 Abilities, 4 Weapons, 4 Miscellaneous

Socho
Noble Rank. At the rank of Socho, you now have power and influence not to mention reputation in your country. You are now considered an expert fighter and are given your own squad to handle, or lead alongside a Taisho to assist.

Requirements: 150+ posts, 7 missions overall, Socho Rank-Up Assessment

To rank up to Socho, you need 150+ posts and completed at least 7 missions. Depending on the activity, Socho Rank Up Assessments are held in the site every month or 2 months. You will receive 150,000 ryo as a bonus once you achieve this rank.

Limitations: 5 Abilities, 5 Weapons, 5 Miscellaneous

Taisho
Elite Rank. The highest rank in the military. Taisho is in the level equal to a country leader, and the only difference is the amount of influence. As Taisho, you act as the general and will have control over small groups of units. You are considered a major part of a country and your name is quite widely known.

Requirements: 200+ posts, 10 missions overall, Taisho Tournament

To rank up to Taisho, you need 200+ posts and completed at least 10 missions overall. Depending on the activity, the Taisho Tournaments are held in the site every month or 2 months, and depending on the amount of participants, there can either be only be one or two Socho’s who will be promoted. You will receive 300,000 ryo as a bonus once you achieve this rank.

Limitations: Unlimited Abilities, Unlimited Weapons, 7 Miscellaneous

Shiki/Fraide/Kreix/Divon
Supreme Rank, and the elite of elites. As a country leader, you have influence over all your citizens and the decisions to wage war or build allies are in your hands. You are responsible for making the squads and assigning heads which you can send to a mission of your choice.

Requirements:

You can only be a leader once you achieve Taisho and you defeat the leader in a challenge for his/her position with the approval of the staffs. You will receive stat buffs once you become a country leader, and likewise, will lose them if you quit or replaced of your position.

Limitations: Unlimited Abilities, Unlimited Weapons, Unlimited Miscellaneous

Note: As explained before, Unlimited only means you are not limited with the number of abilities/weaps/misc you can have. You still have to earn Ryo to buy your stuff. ^^

Ryo Guide
If you're wondering how to earn money more effectively, the list below might help you.

  • Posting.. This is perhaps the simplest way to earn your ryo. You gain 1500 ryo per post, and 2000 ryo per topic that you open up. The more you post, the more you earn ryo.

  • Refering another Member to the Site. This is the most efficient and effective way of earning ryo in an instant. For every active member that you refer to this site, you will gain an instant 100,000 ryo. Meaning, that's 100 posts less. However please make sure that this member is active, or we might consider taking back 75,000 ryo.

  • Affiliating and/or Advertising this site. Affiliating will give you 50,000 ryo immediately, and Advertising this site to another forum will give you 20,000 ryo. Just post your lists of sites in the Ad Ryo Center in the Ryo Section to claim your reward.

  • Suggestions and Constant activity. For every good suggestion you give, you will be rewarded with ryo, the amount depending on how good the suggestion is. Now there will be certain times when the admins are simply in a good mood, and they will randomly give everyone that was online in the site for 24 hours certain amount of money ranging from 10k-100kryo. If you're online everyday, then you won't miss this chance.

  • Missions. Aside from earning ryo in posting while roleplaying your mission, you will gain additional reward ryo once you've successfully completed a mission. Guild missions cost 50,000ryo regardless of difficulty, while missions in the Solaris vary.

  • Selling. If you're tired of your ability or weapon, you can sell it. Yes, it's a brand new selling. Now remember that new abilities cost 500,000 while new weapon cost 350,000. When you sell your old ability or weapon, it will be half the price. You will sell your ability earning you 250,000 ryo or will sell your current weapon and earn 125,000 ryo. Groups/Guild purchases is also applicable in this matter.

  • Creating your own shop. If you're good at art or writing or any other kind that you think other members would be interested of, you can create your very own shop in the OOC Area entitled “OOC shops”. Creating your shop is free, and you will earn money if a member bought one from you. Example: personal signatures, avatars, or graphics that you have created for them.

  • Winning contests. Every so often, we hold contests of different genres. Common examples would be Personal Art contests, poetry contest, roleplay sample contest, fanfiction contest and others)

  • Soul Linking. Is a "system where people can buy and sell themselves as anything they want for ryo. Sell yourself as a dog, a slave, a muffin, ANYTHING! You can sell yourself for 1 million ryo or whatever, but good luck finding someone to buy your useless ass. This thing can be used for both IC and OOC. Its mainly just a new way to spend and earn ryo dealing with comic relief." (credits to Shiki)

  • Auctioning There is an auctionhouse here in RPGH. This allows you to take risk vs reward to sell your items to another RPC. You may create stuff just to auction off for ryo, or you can sell unwanted things there to other people. The risk involved is that you may walk out of there with less money than actually selling the item for half price. However the possibility you may also sell a weapon for double the amount. (Credits to Tobais Kado)

  • Gambling Feeling lucky punk? Well try your luck at the >>Havenball Casino!<< Different types of events made to eat up your money can be spent here for the risk for the jackpot! Be forewarned to moderate your gambling at your own risk! (Credits to Corro Enchanter)

Guilds Guide
by Vertigo Blackhart
Revised by Tobais Kado

Hola! Vertigo Blackhart speaking, and I'm here to give you the basic guides all about Groups and guilds.

Groups
Obviously when a group of people who share a collective goal congregate, naturally an organization is created to display their goal to the world. Often times, the groups are nothing more than fad punk groups that get disbanded by factors that no longer keep them together. However sometimes more prominent groups will show themselves and they have no intent of leaving.

Guilds
When a group becomes popular enough and there is a facility to call itself a headquarters, the group can officially call itself a guild. The guilds hold a great amount of power and influence with the world's politics. Guilds are neutral groups whose laws inside the guild may contradict the country it is located in. Guilds basically have their own objectives and goals. It may be for world domination, or basically for the fun of having members and socialising with others.

Creating/joining a Group/Guild
Anybody can say "I am going to make a group! If you wish to join, go ahead." There are some requirements into making group, namely people and resources. There is no point of a one man group. It is just simply not a group. To make a group there is a service fee to make. To join, there is also a service fee. The service fee is implemented to make sure you keep your group active and do not let it fall apart. If you wish you may also infiltrate an organization against their legal requirements and attempt to undermine the group/guild! What is the point of big ol' organizations if you cannot take them down! You can find more information about creating a Group and guilds at the >>Secret Shop<<

Once you meet the necessary requirements of what it takes to make a guild, you are entitled to a whole new array of improvements in which you may use to improve your guild. Once you make a guild you can start influencing countries on a national scale, this could be a crisis help center, or you can simply make war against a state if you wish!

Guild Master/Creator
You are automatically the Guild Creator if you have applied to create your own guild in the creation section. But you can choose another member to be the guild master of your group. Creating a guild includes a residence package. You can use this to make the headquarters of your guild and equip it with all the necessary stuff you need to make your guild run effectively.

As a guild master/creator, you are able to:

  • Give missions to members. You can also assist them in their missions, which will then earn you further ryo from posting. When giving out missions, you will have to indicate how much money they will receive when they successfully complete the mission. (this money is given by RPG Haven and not by your guild, so don't worry. ^^)
  • lead your guild into affiliating with other guilds or countries, may it be war or peace
  • kick out an existing member in your guild. If you have felt being disrespected, or just plain annoyed, then you can kick any member any time.
  • engage into guild wars/tournaments
  • earn money for every successful mission of your members. They are not the only ones who will gain ryo for every successful mission. The guild creator will have 50% the amount of mission given. Ie, if your member received 50,000 ryo from successful mission, you will gain 25,000 ryo.

Why join a guild?
For members who still don't have enough requirements to create a group/guild, you can join an existing guild with the permission of the guild master. When you join a guild, you can

  • have missions. Through missions, you will gain ryo from posting, as well as additional ryo for a successful mission.
  • interact with others. If you're new, you will often have a warm welcome from your fellow guild members and will sometimes assist you in your missions.
  • have automatic allies when you're attacked. Your fellow guild members are there to help you out.

Kicked out of a guild?
Now if you got kicked out of a guild, you must be some ruckus member to make the guild master pissed off. If not, then maybe you just got unlucky that you were randomly kicked out. In any case, you are in a great disadvantage.

To join another guild, you will have to pay 200,000 ryo to join another one. Otherwise, you will currently be branded Traitor and cannot have missions until then. So yeah, respect your guild masters well.

Additional information

  • Unlike the countries, you CAN NOT challenge the guild master for his/her position.

  • It is the responsibility of the guild master or member to post in the 'Completed Missions' to claim their reward money.

  • It is the responsibility of the guild master to inform an admin about a new member of their guild or any other information such as if they have kicked a member. This is for the admin to change the guild information under the member's avatar.

Tips for New Members
~ A Guide to Fame ~
If you’re reading this, you’re probably one of the new members curious and/or having problems on adapting well and socializing with people here in RPGH. (Or you’re some random old member wondering what Hina is up to again). Either way, I’m here to give you some brief guides to raise your popularity right off the bat.

We all know being a new member is quite hard. It’s like being a new student in a new location – you know no one. So the tips below are solely ways to know more of our members.

  • Chatbox. Probably the most epic and legendary place of RPG Haven is its chatbox. Hanging around here frequently is considered the fastest and most effective way of knowing most of the people in the site as well as getting to know everyone easily. It’s your quick step to fame.

  • Introduction topic. This is optional and not mandatory, but a good way to attract attention to yourself. Post a topic in the introduction forum and say anything about yourself. (We appreciate both sense and randomness. XD) There will always be old members posting to welcome you, and you can have a little chat and earn RP buddies. ^^

  • Do NOT create an RP topic. Join one. Like with other sites, one of the most common mistakes new members make is creating a new topic of their own instead of joining one. This is highly discouraged. You have to take into account that members have their own topics with other members as well, and will most likely overlook yours. The only ones you’re attracting with a new topic are those who are in need of a topic to join, which are rare. So it’s best to jump into an existing open topic and get to know more people first. ^^~ When you know enough people, then create one.

  • Invite someone. If you have a particular old member that interests you or would love to RP with, don’t be shy to ask him/her to RP with you in a topic. This is usually done in the chatbox, but PMing works as well. While there’s a small chance it won’t work, there’s a great probability that s/he’ll accept your invitation. I bet even you love RPing with enthusiastic people and not just those who go "k. fine."

  • RP Request Forum. Though rare, you can make a topic in the RP Request Forum (situated inside the Free Talk section) to randomly invite those who are interested in a roleplay. ^^

  • Drop the Ego. Yeah sure, we all know you're an expert RPer, hosted several big sites, earned the international english competition first prize or whatnot. But guess what, we don't care. It's cool to brag, we all love hearing different stories, but do not overdo it to the point of flamboyance and boisterousness. It would be annoying and people are likely to turn away from you. Instead, just RP like you always do and respect your mates~ You're just like any other new member here. Hoho.

  • And lastly, Be Chatty. We all know the talkative types are always the ones fun to hang out with. Let’s face it, we’re here in a ‘forum’ to converse. So scrap that contagious disease called ‘shyness’ and step into the spotlight with your brilliant smile. Ask if you're not familiar with something, rant if you have complaints, praise if you're satisfied. We all luuuuv cheerful peepz~ And always make sure to be polite. It's a big 'yeah' here.. ^^

RPGH Advertisement
Attention everyone, as you can see, the site is making steady progress over the past weeks. But like me, I know that you also want to expand this site and therefore have more members that you can socialize and roleplay with. We, the admins, can't do it alone, that's why I'm here to ask for your help on this matter.

If you're too lazy to create a description of RPGH, then yes, we've already provided that for you.:

Code:

[center][url=http://rpg-haven.forumotion.com][img]http://i47.servimg.com/u/f47/14/07/41/67/rpgh_f12.gif[/img][/url][/center]

RPG Haven is an anime and non-anime forum set in the present time of the 21st century in a world once called Earth. It is not based on a specific anime and we create our own plot as we progress. In this forum, it is still the world you see, but with the presence of races other than humans, guilds, four super countries, and of course, minions that aim to take over the Haven.

[center][code]<a href="http://rpg-haven.forumotion.com/"><img src="http://i47.servimg.com/u/f47/14/07/41/67/rpgh_f12.gif" alt="Click Here to visit RPG Haven" /></a>[/code][/center]

Some Features
- Friendly Environment
- VERY Helpful Staffs and Members
- Events, Contests, Tourneys, etc.
- Semi-Technical system (not too specific and not too general)
- A variety of RPers: experienced and developing
- Constant development of plot and of the site. ^^

This is just a brief overview of our site. We offer more. Come visit RPG Haven and see what I mean. ^^

[center]Thank you very much
~ RPG Haven ~[/center]

there.. you can just copy and paste that code in any random site you want to advertise our site with. you can also include your rpgh account name there so you can have some ryo rewards when you have successfully recruited someone from that site.

so yeah, advertising can give you 20,000 ryo instantly, and if you were successful in recruiting, expect that additional 100,000..

When you post your advertisements in the >>Ad Ryo Center Please wait 24 hours to receive the ryo you are to get rewarded. This gives the sites you advertised on a chance to react and if they so choose, delete the ad and remove your hard work. I apologize but it happens. We are not going to reward you for hard work that does not stay up...

PLEASE... :aww: help us advertise.. ^^

cheers~
